Idu, or Idu Industrial, is an up-and-coming district. It sits in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) phase 4 region.
The district nears one of the main industrial areas in Abuja. In this industrial area, you will find a number of different companies — engaged in a variety of different business activities.
Idu is also the location for a large interchange rail station. The Idu station, interchanges between the standard gauge railway (running from Abuja to Kaduna) and the Abuja light rail system (running from the Abuja airport to the Central Area).
Due to being close to both an industrial area, and a railway station — the infrastructure in Idu is good, and continues to be developed. It is also for such reasons, that several different housing estates have been built (and continue to be built) in the vicinity. Consequently, the “Idu corridor” is among the fastest growing parts of the city.
Public services and amenities, in Idu, are all within easy reach.
Places of interest include Idu Customary Court, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure and National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development.
