Neighborhood overview
Gudu is an established district in phase 2 of Abuja city. It is also sometimes known as Apo-Gudu.
The district occupies a strategic location just outside Abuja’s city centre. Gudu is residential but has quite an extensive commercial part to it. Although well-populated it is not as dense or as busy as neighboring areas like Garki.
There are plenty of opportunities for recreation and relaxation in the neighborhood. You will find bars, eateries and clubs scattered across the district as well as parks, hotels and schools.
The famous Gudu Market is sited here. This is chiefly an electrical parts market, although there is an assigned section for the selling of food stuffs.
Places of interest include, Baytown Lounge, Chloe’s Cupcake Heaven, Apo Legislative Quarters, Sentosa Park and Xcell Plus Gym & Spa.

Getting around
Gudu sits close to Garki in the north, Guzape in the north east, Apo Dutse in the south east, Gaduwa in the south west and Durumi to the west.
Being a developed neighborhood the infrastructure is good. The road network is extensive, giving easy access to most parts of the Abuja metropolis. The main roads are Oladipo Diya Street, Ahmadu Bello Way and the Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway.
Journeys to Abuja Central Area take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Land and houses in Gudu
An excellent location (away from the hustle and bustle of the inner city) and a high level of development has attracted many people to the neighborhood. Residents include civil servants, politicians, traders and other middle class citizens.
A variety of different house types can be found here including apartments, bungalows and duplexes. Luxury accommodation is also available.
Property prices in Gudu are generally lower than that which you would find in inner areas such as Maitama. The cost of housing is comparable with other phase 2 districts like Utako.
